What’s good to eat in Houston TX? There are more options than you care to count, and I’m about to tell you about three of the best dining establishments in H-Town. These recommendations will help you know where to go, making navigation quite easy. Houston is huge, and you don’t want to be late for breakfast, lunch or dinner, whichever meal you are about to enjoy. The following are a few of the best places to eat in Houston TX.
Barnaby’s Cafe is a gem of a restaurant, and its address is 414 West Gray Street. Order up pancakes, burgers, carrot cake and so much more. People say the meatloaf is delicious, and they also say that the portions are quite generous. A city like Houston is going to have many restaurants that feature a swanky and trendy decor and atmosphere. This restaurant, however, is more casual, comfortable and relaxed. It’s also located in the museum district if you are looking for things to do.
The next restaurant recommendation is Irma’s Southwest Grill, and its location is 1314 Texas Street. This establishment features quite an eclectic menu consisting of Mexican cuisine, southwestern favorites and wild game. In fact, reviewers recommend the wild game sampler platter, and the wild boar tacos are a hit, too. This restaurant is said to be quite large, so that makes it very accommodating.
Now it’s time to enjoy some Texas barbecue, Houston style. You can get your Texas barbecue at Gatlin’s BBQ. Located at 3510 Ella Boulevard, Gatlin’s BBQ serves up baby back ribs, dirty rice, lemon pound cake and well, need I say more? There is brisket, sausage and everything else you can imagine, too. What’s your favorite type of barbecue? I would want a plate with brisket, sausage and ribs. Of course a delicious pulled pork barbecue sandwich would be great, too.
If it’s pizza you and your family are looking for, well, one of the best options is Star Pizza. Star Pizza is located at 2111 Norfolk Street, and it’s got all your favorites and some unique choices as well. For example, have you ever heard of a chicken alfredo pizza on whole wheat crust? That certainly sounds intriguing, but I’ll take a hamburger and bacon pizza with extra cheese.
Being a vegetarian I can’t do that anymore, so instead, I’ll go with a spinach alfredo pizza. How about you? Which pizza are you going to order, or perhaps you are going to visit one of the other restaurants in Houston TX first. Have a great meal!
